Thanksgiving Day Fun Run 2014

 

 

Our stake, the Tule Springs Stake, does fun runs throughout the year, and always on Thanksgiving Day.  There is a 25 mile bike ride at 6:30 a.m., a 10K at 7:00, and the 5K/1 mile walk at 7:30 a.m.  It's a great way to get out and enjoy the day bright and early, getting some exercise in preparation for the big meal later on.  There's music, good friends, and it's just plain fun! The kids are up early anyway, so it's not too hard to just throw the bikes and stroller in the Yukon and head up the street.  I try to keep the boys in sight, but they end up getting ahead of me and make it back to the church to get their own chocolate milk and fruit.  (Sometimes there's pancakes-yum!)

 

 

"New" Shoes and New Shoelaces

 

We received these adorable converse shoes from our neighbor, Susie.  They didn't have shoelaces, so Rylee and I went to Payless to get some.  She picked out some spunky ones.  Rylee loves these shoes!

 

 

Panguitch Lake Cabin 2014

This year our family, Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Brian, Bryce, and Quaid went to the cabin.  Grandma had to leave after 2 days to go help Uncle Scott and Aunt Annette with their new baby, but we still had fun with her before she left. 

There was a new and improved zipline, fishing, long & short walks, a ride to Bryce Cabin, church, a parade in Panguitch, and a few trips to the store.  Here's some pictures of our fun:

He was our honorary pet for the week.  It was sad to see him go, but we knew he'd be happier in the forest.

Our Graham Cracker houses didn't hold up with lots of decoration.  We had some collapses.

The kids had tons of fun.  They also made snowman ornaments the same day. 

 

Here's the final product!  So cute!  And he was delicious.  Semi-homemade--used a Betty Crocker pizza mix.  The sauce is Ranch dressing.







The kids all went home with a snowman "kit".
